Jeff Smith did wonderfully at drawing the comic, keeping most of the characters simple so that he could get the comic out in a reasonable time - and so you’re absolutely right, it could EASILY be adapted for animation. I’m not sure why it’s languishing and why Netflix chose to kill it. :(

Bummed that Bone is being killed off. That had such high hopes from me, as the story is really a good one as it progresses on.

While the story of it was forgettable, I was hoping for more in the vein that was Bright - it was an interesting concept of blending fantasy and real-world.

Wasn’t it like a 60840 chip or something? I seem to remember them using similar chips (or maybe it was similar model numbering) for modem/router combos in the early/mid 2000s/2010s - but maybe I’m misremembering.

Deep Dish pizza is surprisingly hard to find in San Diego...We used to have a Rosati’s that made them, and a Chicago Pizza Company, and 20+ years ago, Pizzeria Uno was the place to go in town that had decent deep dish pizza. Unfortunately, it’s been pushed out by the demand for faster cooking pizza, because SoCal peopl

The man loves conspiracy movies and action films. Saying he doesn’t know what a burner phone is, is like trying to tell us that he doesn’t know the difference between a driver and a putter.

When he got COVID, all I could think was, “He’s gonna get something experimental, come out fine, and every follower of his is suddenly going to become a medical expert demanding the same treatment from their doctor because Trump got it.” Never mind that he gets access to stuff that our HMOs won’t ever sign off on...

LOL just wait, I’ll bet good money they’re looking at this thing that Polyphony and Sony concocted and thinking, “How can we do microtransactions where we can make money and not have EVERYONE hate us?”

Yep, endurance races are definitely a thing. Not just in road racing, like that of the Le Mans, but in off road, like the famed Paris to Dakar Rally, or the Baja 1000. In fact, Ivan Stewart, off road racing legend, earned his nickname of “Ironman” for driving the Baja 1000 without having a relief driver. That wasn’t

I’m in the same camp - M570 user due to limited desk space. You must use the hell out of yours, since I haven’t had to change the battery in mine in over 2 years (that, or I’m an infrequent user of my trackball compared to the average user? I dunno LOL).

Either way, I still haven’t had my batteries drained

And here I thought I was one of the few who remembered using that atrocity. Still, it was at least somewhat functional when plugged in...

Simple - most people don’t know the battery is dying/dead on their mouse until it stops working. So, now you have to charge it by flipping it over, plugging it in, and waiting, and the entire time it can’t be used. It’s frustrating, and stops productivity.

I remember having talked to my wife about condoms, and she said she didn’t want to rely on it due to their effectiveness for pregnancy - the pill was more effective, especially if a condom broke, and I was in agreement with her. Would I take on the onus of a male birth control pill if my wife asked? You bet.

Agreed. I asked my dad about it, since he had a vasectomy done, and he said, “Oh, it wasn’t bad...” around my mom. When I asked him how it really felt, he looked around and saw my mom wasn’t around and said, “The next day, I felt like a mule had kicked me in the nuts. It’s not the ‘relatively painless’ procedure

Vasectomies don’t always work. My father was the youngest of 3 children; my grandfather had a vasectomy after his second child and there was 2 years between my uncle and my father.

My dad had a vasectomy after I was born. I have a sister who’s 3 years younger than me.

I’ll take my chances with the pill.

I’d have GLADLY taken it in my 20's, had it been available then. I had a girlfriend who would actually lie to me about being on birth control, because she actually thought that a child would be a great way to get me to marry her (needless to say, she and I are NOT together).

I like kids, but I don’t necessarily want

The bedsheet rope still elicits thoughts of  “Poltergeist” and trying to get the little girl out of the other side. Wouldn’t doubt that might be a reference to the film, but instead of the other side, it’s the Upside Down.

Right??? I’d love to see it, if for nothing else than knowing it would be over the top at some point. It’d only work, though, if Gamera was the original models; I think that’s why they were so popular in the 70's and 80's, because of how cheesy the costumes were. :)

They need to bring in Gamera, the flying turtle that shoots rockets out of its butt.

I’m good with that. I want to see him as Weird Al now anyway.
