It was funny, I read this today on my FB feed, and went, “Wow...So he FINALLY decided to come out?!?”

It was like Ricky Martin and Elton John - we all knew these people were gay, but we just didn’t care. Well, I DID care about Elton John when he was on some late night talk show and kept making references to the phrase

The only country I ever got a travel warning for that I heeded was Sierra Leone. I was supposed to go for work, but then the area I was to be traveling to was issued a “blood diamond” travel warning (basically, if you were white, traveling to this region, it was thought you might be there to buy and trade in diamonds

My favorite is the Jiffy Lube “PCV valve replacement”.

My ex religiously took her car to Jiffy Lube for oil changes. Every time she went in, they’d charge her $50 for a basic oil change (no synthetic, just regular oil)

So I asked her, “What are they doing? It’s supposed to be a $20 oil change.”

So, something to ask - if your network is only as fast as the slowest point, could a VPN slow down your internet speeds?

i.e. I pay for 150 mbps. Let’s say (theoretically, as I’m sure that there are faster ones out there) that the only VPNs available to me are ones that run at 50 mbps.

The chainmail scrubber that’s on sale, I cannot recommend those enough for cleaning cast iron. My wife refused to use it initially, saying, “Ehh, this Brillo pad works just as well.”

Then she saw me make a couple swipes with it on our large cast iron pan, and she said, “Let me try that...”

Only “complaint” I have is

Time to test out the username “SofaKing Awesome” and see if it gets banned.

Good to know! All I could remember was that they used to make agricultural equipment, wasn’t sure if they still did...:) Thanks!

Kubo’s coming?? YES!!! I wanted to see it, but never made it to the theaters when it was running. And, oddly enough, the Redboxes near me seem to never have it.

Doesn’t International do tractors/farm equipment? I dunno. All I’ve ever heard was John Deere, and I’ve never liked what they preached for their equipment. Sure, it’s “Made in America”, but if I can’t service it myself, I’ll buy Japanese, Swedish, anything else so that I can fix it myself without being held hostage...

My Target stores, oddly enough, don’t carry the Anova, but the local Best Buys do. Go figure. :)

Adam is a car nut. Dodge man, through and through, loves his Hemis and the old Pentastar stuff. He was chatting with us a little at the one filming my dad and I went to up at the “abandoned airfield” in Irvine, back when Adam Levine was on the show; fun guy, and yes, a comedian, but he knew his car stuff. He’s one of

Bought one before Christmas last year, and I LOVE it. Used it to make a corned beef brisket for St. Patrick’s Day, and it came out PERFECT - firm meat, good flavor, didn’t taste watered down like you see most crock pot versions of corned beef.

And that was just the corned beef. I’ve done swordfish this same method,

LOL he knew. He could have pivoted his hand up to her waist, but no...

She’s a good looking woman, yes. But that’s not an excuse to try and get fresh with her. And clearly she’s gonna bust his nuts off-camera.

Did my sous vide corned beef this weekend (we had a crock pot version on Fri, and then the 48 hour sous vide version on Sunday to compare).

Let me tell you, I LOVED the sous vide version over the crock pot. The crock pot always feels like it’s just a cut of boiled meat - watery, not very flavorful, and the meat always

One was Safeway/Vons/Pavilions/Albertson’s, which is primarily West Coast, and the other was Aldi’s - it was just a fluke. They’d had it at $3.79/lb and then dropped it down to $2.49/lb for flat cuts, and $1.99/lb for point cuts.

There was NO complaining in my household with that! :)

Thanks Claire! Initially, I bought 2 cuts of corned beef (one point cut, one flat cut) with the intention to sous vide the flat cut and crock pot the point cut (because the wife INSISTS on crock pot corned beef; I always think it’s bland, myself).

Then, Wed. night, we were at the grocery store and they’d dropped it to

The Marvel Phase Two is a good deal. I’ve got both Phase One and the Phase Two; the Phase One set came with the Tesseract and Phase Two came with the orb that contains the Power Stone. Sure, they’re dust catchers, but hell, getting ALL of the films in each Phase, plus the bonuses (like the dossiers from SHIELD) make

Just going to say that I like my Philips Hue lights. I DO have the ability to hook up the hub to the Internet, but after my wife thought it would be “cute” to give out the remote login password (and yes, I did change it from a default password something non-standard) to turn the lights on and off remotely to my sister

Hmm...Not had this problem; now, granted, I’ve been playing non-network games like Lego Dimensions and Wolfenstein: The Old Blood since the upgrade, but I HAVE been streaming The Man In The High Castle in 1080p with no issues since the upgrade...Maybe this is only affecting newer PS4s and PS4 Pro? (Mine’s 3 years old,

Whoa whoa whoa, Mike. These aren’t “remastered” like the Ducktales Remastered release from a couple years back. I wish they were. They’re just ports of the NES titles. I’ll still buy it, because I miss playing these games, but they’re not “remastered” versions like the New Ducktales.

I think they wanted to do a Chip
