This is the kind of thing that can only exist in the US South. Not the literal "prance team" concept, but just the way this all comes together. This is the sort of art form and "Southern rebellion" that gets passed over when you just look at voting statistics or make assumptions based on politicians and who appears to

Jessica I replied to Insomniac with a link to Disney's careers page on the College Program (which I think this girl, or the guy, or both, were part of). It's posted above but just to make sure you see it:

http://cp.disneycareers.com/en/program-com…

That does seem to be the case, reading the article:

"This is a company with tens of thousands of people working for them just in Orlando, including thousands of college-aged adults living on their premises with very little supervision."

Here's the link to details about the College Program and the housing situation: http

That does happen, but mainly in gay bathhouses or places guys would possibly hook up with each other.

In straight or mixed environments guys work hard not to be erect around each other. The reasons for this are legion. Needless to say if there is any gift women should be thankful biology forgot to bestow on them, it's

I think it has to do with perceptions of manhood. I think the article is somewhat offbase when it says women "don't care" about the size of men's dicks. They do care, but not in a pleasure context. They care because many of them (along with many men) recognize that insulting the size of a guy's dick is the go-to

In that post I was alluding to claims by Dines about sex acts she considers automatically degrading. She mentions in her work anal sex, ejaculating on a partner's face, and multiple sex partners. The position that there are certain sex acts that inarguably represent coercive patriarchy and rape culture is a mainstay

My position has stayed the same. You told Skipjack that "the violence in both [gay and straight porn are] reflections of a fucked up patriarchal society." I asked you for specifics in gay pornography. You have not given any. You instead provided me with a generic definition of patriarchy and scolded me for (allegedly)

Good to see something to combat this fucking obnoxious commercial:

Here again I'm going to request specifics. Perhaps you are being general, but we weren't talking about gay male culture in abstract. We're talking about whether the sex fantasies depicted in gay porn fall under the umbrella of "the patriarchy" and if so in what way.

The fact that sexism and patriarchy "exist" or

The problem here appears to be venue. In the pages of a magazine this is tasteless. Put the same photos up in a gallery with the same descriptions, and this is "high art." My main problem with it isn't the content, just how it's presented. As a social commentary its (potentially) very moving.

Haha. Unfortunately that is my genetic legacy. Hairy legs, no chest hair, facial hair that will not grow a full beard. At least I kept a full head of hair after 30 though. :)

I agree with you. Unfortunately some men (like me :( ) simply can't grow a beard.

I have to ask you a question. Are you a guy, and if so have you had sex with other guys? If not, I would like to understand where you are coming from in terms of your understanding of the mechanics. I don't want to make assumptions about you but the nature of your answers about submission and domination don't ring

I didn't ask what patriarchy means in abstract. I asked what does it mean in this specific context. What specifically about filmed sex in gay pornography is a manifestation of "the patriarchy?"

I also completely and absolutely reject your notion that when gay men take on roles of submissive and dominant they are

I'm going to need some additional support for the argument that gay porn is "a reflection of patriarchal society." I'm not actually sure what you mean by that statement. I mean, by virtue of who is acting in it (men), who is producing it (men), and who is primarily consuming it (men) it would have to be informed by

I think some people think that all porn promotes rape culture. But I also think people (especially a certain brand of "evangelical feminist," which Dines appears to basically be) tend to view porn as something men do to women. They're forgetting that other thriving leg of the porno industry: what men do to other men,

Gail Dines has a website that provides more info on her and her views. http://gaildines.com/

As does Stop Porn Culture: http://stoppornculture.org/

The latter incudes the claim (which I'm not taking a position on, not because I don't have one, but because I don't have the energy to debate it):

Are you ever concerned

We also can't not mention that the ride in question, Apollo's Chariot, is fucking incredible.
