I was not quite a year old when that came out, so I have no eye at all for whatever flaws foreshadowed the Ewoks for you. But I am curious. That whole sequence just feels like a competent if not remarkable extension of the (highly enjoyable) banter we get at the very beginning of Star Wars (excuse me, “Episode 4"),

BattleStar Galactica, which turned Mormon Space Pilgrimage into 9/11 hysteria.

Jesus, that was in the first season?  I caught a smattering of episodes across the show’s run, but I stopped bothering when I saw that.

So Brett is brought in, very good at doing what he’s given at least in terms of putting something together based on the script, some maniac had decided to smash together Dark Phoenix with something called the Legacy Virus or something like that storyline - whatever it was called, it was unrelated to Dark Phoenix.

I would like them to ignore everything after the end of So Long... for what I hope are obvious reasons.

You don’t get a star because you’re sitting at 42 right now.  But yes.

Sincere sympathy to those of you who were there and came here, but... eh. Disqus was such a fucking annoying pain for me that I never got to commenting regularly over there.  But now you guys are here, so yay?

Not that I ever make this for, y’know, people. Just me. But here’s mine:

You need to destroy the ego that possesses you.

Heinlein said it best:

Also “sauerkraut.”

I wouldn’t have thought of a beaver, but it would make sense!

While you’re not the first person to have that thought in this thread, apparently you’re also not the first person to have that thought, period.

Oooooof.

One of my favorite masshole dive bars has taxidermied animals all over it, including one mounted above each unmarked restroom door.  I leave as an exercise for the reader determining what animal was over which door.

The solution is obvious.

Works better as:

Route 2 west of Fitchburg is probably my favorite highway to drive on (I get on it maybe once a year going to VT to ski). Gorgeous road.

Oh, I get the west-east thing. For the record, east.
