I ended up on a frozen world. I think everyone gets a harsh world to give impetus towards them following the tutorial. So basically I had a countdown timer while playing an amnesiac astronaut trying to figure out the controls.

No indeed, it really isn’t. When I first started the game I spawned on a planet with hostile life forms, and was killed three times by multiple lobstrosities before figuring out how to defend myself. It’s how we learn.
