Penny Arcade totally lost me this time.   No idea what was going on there. 

The flu vaccine requires an annual shot. Covid could be no different. Our immune system will not always retain the knowledge to fight specific problems.  This may be one of those things.   Likely, if it doesn’t remember, we’ll be taking two shots during flu season, instead of one.

Agreed.  The only thing I use the start menu for is to hit shut down, or click on the settings button.  I just want the same basic taskbar at least, so I can pin it to the bottom of my right screen.   My left is where I work, and having that extra cm or two is a big deal when working in animation/design/art jobs.  

There’s plenty of tech waiting to be implemented. But it costs money. It’s more expensive than the status quo. The only way we change anything is if we basically bottom out. Like how the mRNA vaccine has rolled out. Things were very bad and money got poured into getting shit done.
