I don’t see an issue with this, leaving your keys in the car is dumb. Leaving them in a running car while unattended even more dumb. If you can’t stand leaving your car off for a few minutes, then invest in a remote starter. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Wouldn’t you already be at least partly liable for what somebody does with your car if they got it under these circumstances?

Because he told them, duh! Since no one ever lies to TSA, it was pretty stupid of them. They should automatically assume that everything suspicious is a hilarious prank, bunch of squares.

Wow TSA, get a sense of humor.

Aston Martin would agree...

“Everything breaks sooner or later” is a cop out in this case, because this is *a lot* sooner, and multiple failures of a critical safety component that most automakers figured out how to make properly decades ago.

Or if you do use them, you better make sure they work flawlessly. But realistically, yes, they should have designed a mechanical door opener that is flush with the car door.

Most normal ones add some sort of drag to the car. However, a mechanical solution would be preferable to the electronic handles on the Tesla.

However, the Model S is now 5 years old. They should have these things sorted, start up or not.

lol, just finished watching this (5:42 for the handle issue)

If only they could come up with a less complicated, manual way to unlock ones door latch.

Honestly it’s buyer beware at this point.

Tesla: Bringing Complex Solutions to Things That Were Never Problems in the First Place. (Door Handle Edition)

Seems like an unnecessarily complicated way to gain entry to one’s vehicle.

Thank you for posting this. Before I just dismissed the stinger outright, but now I feel justified. In no particular order: you could land a 747 on the bezels of that display. Where do you point the third HVAC vent? That shifter looks my corporate issued mouse, but probably feels worse. I can SEE how hard the plastic

Almost no one admits they are affected by advertising. And yet, companies spend billions on it. Why? Because it works.

Sorry for all the SoCal residents. I have family there. I’ve been asked time and time again to move from NY to SoCal but I won’t. Wildfires is something we never have to deal with in NY. I’ll take my chances with hurricanes over earthquakes, wildfires, and droughts, which are about to become a regular thing in

You could have used yourself and your feelings about Mazda as another example...

That pagoda has to be a difficult loss since it’s been in the family so long. I’m sure the other cars will be missed as well, but that one potentially took 50 years of family memories with it.
