Dog-lovers may hate on the woman, but let’s be real : animals are not “better” than humans, they’re just like us. Some of them are sweet, some of them are downright nasty.

That dog was clearly threatening. A kid who wanted to retrieve his cat could have been bitten. Although I’m thankful the officer didn’t shoot the

I appreciate Volvo making crossovers/suv’s still sorta blocky like their traditional counterparts. I know there’s Truck/SUV purists here that’ll disagree with me, but trying to put a “normal” car’s design language onto such proportions just doesn’t look good at all.

eg: I think this

It’s not the first thing that Land Rover’s taken from Volvo!

Parking card holders, trunk under floor storage (instead of a spare), and phone holders aren’t particularly novel additions to cars.

I was so sad when Volvo dumped the “parking ticket/toll receipt clip” that always used to be on the front of the dash (in Europe, I think it was supposed to hold up the parking clock that some cities make you use?) Also, I almost forgot that I used to use the big honkin’ ash tray in the center console of my old RWD

Why don’t more cars have little trash cans?

It’s like the old saying goes, a rolled Porsche gathers no moss

I was thinking “1991? that wasn’t that long ago”. Oh, it was. Wow. I got old fast

Manual criticism is valid and would have at least given enthusiasts a reason to walk into a showroom. Who does Mazda hope to attract by dropping this engine into a poorly tarted up mainstream auto only sedan? How does this compete any better against the value turbo buyer (Sonata/Optima), the non stick driver that

I live in denver and commute about 20mi (one way) daily in rush hour to work and im planning to trade my car in for a manual as soon as it makes financial sense.

I mean, I was legitimately considering one if it included a manual but now Ill just look at used 15-17 models with low miles for a bit cheaper.

I have passed over a few nice cars for not having a manual...

I live in a large metropolitan area I just find automatics boring... I need the extra activity of shifting and clutching to keep me from daydreaming.

The only time it sucks is when you’re in traffic on a long uphill and it’s moving too slow to idle in 1st gear but you look like an asshole for sitting there and waiting for a gap. Happened to me on my way home from Tucson on Sunday and my car has ridiculously short gearing.

I understand your argument. I love unique, fun, and quirky cars. But I also want to not be crippled when someone on their cellphone hits me.

Cost. Mazda has the engine and trans in another car. It fits in this car. Developing a manual that works with this engine is a lot of cash.

Can anyone enlighten me as to why automakers sometimes only offer the higher output motors with an automatic? I get that power = nice and automatic = nice for a lot of people so it makes sense to group it together from a packaging standpoint for that audience, but surely part of the reason an automaker drops a bigger

The article you linked clearly says ‘Don’t worry: Jeep engineers assure me that, even after hours and hours in a roof-off rainstorm, that push-button will still fire up the engine. And yes, there are still drain plugs in the floor.’ So you didn’t actually read it, did you?

From what I’ve been lead to believe by everyone in the world, the Wrangler is like one of two things FCA makes (the Viper being the other) that is actually a quality item.
