What license plate thing?
What license plate thing?
Ironically, living in Vancouver and having visited/driven in SF a few times, I have the exact opposite impression...
The ‘funny’ thing is, the qualification process you go through to get a mortgage as a Canadian citizen is vastly more daunting than if you were a foreign citizen! They basically have no standards at all when approving foreigners for a mortgage here...
Not really. We’re at EB right now!
Don’t laugh so soon, Seattle will be like this tomorrow!
I wonder how fast we’d get better air if the governments of the world cracked down on the shipping and energy (i.e. utilities) industries, instead of on the automotive industry... Something tells me those two account for most of the pollution on the Earth, but that cars are an easier target.
There’s just something about the damn things...they look good, are nice inside, and drive well. That’s enough boxes checked to get one hooked, I guess.
Hmm. Sounds like you can help me with the one mechanical problem my MkIV (1.8T, manual) does have...
Fun fact – the Lada 1200 (i.e. Fiat 124) had a hand crank as a backup for battery/starter failure in the bitter Russian cold!
I never tire of that clip.
I’m more and more convinced that they ironed things out by the end of the production run. We still have the 2003 Jetta 1.8T we bought new, and only 3 things have gone wrong in that regard, in the 13 years we’ve had it:
If you’re hoisting the engine to do the timing belt job, you’re doing it wrong lol
How so? I don’t see how the car would have won without that level of prep...
Totally justified – it was either that or lose the competition the car was gonna be in.
Kill me, then. I want to know!
What turned me off the ATS-V was shutting the door – the plastic panels rattled like in an old Cavalier! No sale.
FWIW, a V60 is still a really good option!
Turns out I missed that the fuel cost is monthly as well (i.e. it’s 1600 x 12)
Whoops.
