A quick question about "ennobl[ing] and validat[ing]" people one writes about: Did you see this, Tommy? http://davidsimon.com/deandre-mccullough-1977-2012/. Not the same thing by many measures, but David Simon certainly ennobles and validates something here. Curious what you think.

Ariel Levy wrote a good piece about her in the New Yorker a few months ago. Not the same thing as actual Olympic coverage, but not nothing either.

I don't know if the small number of issues makes this better or worse. It may well limit production costs and help them polish every item they include, but it might also hinder the spread and awareness of the brand. Just dunno.

Sincere question: How many issues will Howler publish before it folds?

Oh, yes, of course, Pope. A President should always and forever speak in the most formal of ways. They won't let you graduate from Columbia or Harvard — or, gasp, both! — without turning in your "plain speaker" card, so the President is clearly faking it.

Not trying to snark. Sorry if it came off that way.

Nice. And you can save me the effort of looking it up myself: Is that Mark Price?

What gave it away? The fact that the player mentioned in the piece isn't in the photo?
