Bloodborne has been patched to allow co-op with friends regardless of level with password matching. That’s according to DualShockers’ English translation of the Japanese patch notes. The patch is about 300mb, positively svelte for an update to a current-gen game.

It’s more patent law than copyright in the case of old hardware. In any case, Nintendo let most things slip with their old hardware up to the SNES so it’s actually fair game for 90% of the system.
