Wow it been a while I've been for some Ninja Tunesque \ Bonobo sounding project. Thanks Luke!

I'm interested in the game. I don't think it will be GOTY material to me but it's splendid to see at least a fresh face try to make a game and tell a story, especially from a corner of the world I know nothing of. It's good to see the game is at decently done, so it will last more than just a single blip on the radar

Oh, industry veterans? For some reason, I always assumed that the Inuit tribe taught itself game design for this. Guess it makes more sense that they got outside help, even if it's less romantic.

Finally, this little guy came out. While I don't have a huge interest in playing it, I give more kudos than I can to the developers who made a game about such an unknown people and culture.

This is sending my want meter into the stratosphere! I was worried about Far Cry 3 being a paltry title by the way everyone was shilling it. Skyrim with guns, anyone?

Sounds like you've got your purchasing process pretty well ironed out. I'm not certain many people consistently use this process every time they purchase something, which is where positive feelings play in. (e.g., How else would we explain a phenomenon like Beats by Dre?)

Why everybody likes going out and socializing so much ? It makes my life more difficult. I'm not an introvert monster, I get along well with co-workers and other people. I just don't enjoy going out with people so much. I know it is not normal and it is my fault that I'm different. But it is not fair that people like

If you are so bad off that you need to find comfort in the misery of others then you would probably be better off spending your time on anything other than trolling Facebook.

I have a couple severely negative friends who I have muted on Facebook. Their "puking" vis-a-vis their lives in my news feed brings me down. Staying away and keeping them out of mind when I can cheers me up.

Isn't this the same rationale that got George W. Bush elected?

No, no, 1000 times no. This is terrible advice. Cultural fit is critical, but that is very different to 'who would I like to socialise with?'. managers who recruit in their own image are proven to be less effective than those who can make more rational decisions based on skills, ability and aptitude. Hire people

. . . . and this is a major contributor to the lack of diversity in many companies. Women, members of some religions, people different from you - you might not want to have a beer with them or they might not even drink beer. But you're not hiring them to drink beer!

For the average person, this is probably good advice. For someone with an anxiety disorder, this is encouraging worry. I already imagine the worst case scenario far too often. By choosing to experience it, I would only be making my anxiety valid, which would give my worry too much power. Instead I rationalize and

Now playing

Oooh I dig it. Reminds me a little bit of Takagi Masakatsu with all the cool electronic layers and multiple genre influence stuff.

For me it has to be the Civilization series. I have played them all since Civ I (including Alpha Centauri), and I find myself always going back to the latest iteration and losing myself for hours. There is always more to learn and experience (new leaders, different maps, difficulty levels, scenarios etc), that it

All the games published by Paradox Interactive (Victoria, Europa Universalis, Crusader Kings)

That evolve jump-rope is amazing and creative.

no kotaku review of kotaku reviews?

I completely agree with your scoring system. Having a numerical value to such a wide media is just not healthy to the industry. It's simply insane to say things like "The Stanley Parable is 50% better than Just Dance 3", because those items simply don't compare.

gibs. Lots of gibs... or you can bundle this with Meaningful Enemy Feedback...
