A lot of laptops are just desktop replacements now. I'd be willing to bet most people's laptops never leave the house. I still insist on having a computer desk piled high with multiple monitors and peripherals but most people can't be bothered. I have to admit I do swipe my wife's laptop a lot to save myself walking

Fire prevention mostly. Also health reasons, plus I like that the patties don't shrink as much so it's easier to get the size right. Oh, and it's how mom made them. :)

I've found the same thing, but I always use lean or extra lean ground beef. I can't find the Test Kitchen article but maybe they're using a fattier cut.

And they hurt sliiiiiiightly less to step on accidentally.

Also, look for the word Cloud on the box. If it's there, buy something else.

I frequently can't think of what to make for dinner, so in that event I get two birds stoned at once by forcing myself to plan a meal around using up at least one item from the fridge.

I thought I was being conservative with that estimate, I must have dropped a decimal place or two. Should have known someone would be checking my work!

Glad that came out OK; I didn't want to condescend! Clearly you we both have given this way too much thought. I'm going to avoid following you into speculation on the dynamics of formation of the Alderannian asteroid belt or I'm not going to get any work at all done today.

Yeah, let's seem him correct that swing with the Zweihander :)

I can't even use the dodge roll effectively in Dark Souls. Am I just packing too much heavy armour?

I had to think about that one for a bit but you're overestimating the gravitational potential at a distance of the moon's orbit. The amount of energy it takes to move a mass from the earth's surface to the moon's orbit is orders of magnitude larger than the amount of energy required to move that mass from the moon's

The Problem Of The Perfect Gun

Ehhhhh, deflecting blame is an iffy one. You have to make sure you execute that one right. By which I mean deflect it in the right direction. I recommend confirmed halfwits. Or failing that, the guy who doesn't speak English.

I sure hope that horse is kicking

Very cool. Riffs remind me of some early Smashing Pumpkins a little.

Wow these people seem pretty upset. I sure hope nobody kills themselves.
