EV sales were up 43% globally in 2020. Tesla lost EV market share globally.

How many physical features need to be removed (touchscreen controls, instrument gauge, air vent knobs, steering wheel adjustment, side mirror adjustment, etc) before Tesla nerds accept the fact it’s all in the name of cheaper/faster/easier manufacturing; not in the name of whatever future Elon is peddling.

They can’t do a consistent panel gap, but they can predict whether you want to go forward, backward or park. Got it.

I’ve done the calculations on the resolving power and frame rate of the cameras in current Teslas. You’re right. They cannot physically do what they need to for safe self driving. Tesla knows this. They’re simply lying to customers. At a minimum they could have gained a lot by just using wider binocular vision.

This is actually something I’ve been thinking about for a while. Even if full Level 5 autonomy was possible, I doubt the sensors and tech in current Teslas (or any current production car) would be able to manage it. Like how an old computer or phone isn’t able to update past a certain version.

Do Tesla Stans Dream of Electric Sheep?

Wrong. Tesla can end up being a major player in the future and utterly successful and it’s stock price can be absolutely be currently overvalued.

Everyone says this now while the stock keeps going up and up. It happens literally for every single bubble in history since fuckin tulip mania.

Ahem, GM sold WAY more than 2.5M vehicles globally, they sold 2.5M just in the US. At least make it a fair comparison to show how ridiculous Tesla’s valuation is.

Investors aren’t looking at anything with Tesla, it’s just pure delusion.

The P/E ratio is currently over 1,600. Investors would have to legitimately believe that Tesla’s future market cap will be $32 trillion? 15x more than the current most valuable company?

I’m guessing he’s a mid-westerner who gets tailgated a lot in the snow.

The problem with this idea is that there’s no such thing as “the old dealer pricing”. Dealerships operate this way: Consumer Price = Dealership costs from manufacturer (factoring in all rebates, buy backs, whatever) + negotiated profit. In most cases (not all certainly), negotiated profit is greater than 0 but less

Our Governor threw $500M at a rural broadband initiative. It fell completely short. There is rural broadband near us, but not to us. We live just a few miles out of town where there is fiber-optic service, and that comes up the hill onto the county routes, but the ISPs won’t invest in going down any of the roads that

Politicians have also been promising rural broadband for over a decade.  Still patiently waiting for the infrastructure to arrive.

“Charge when you get home!” many say. OK. So what if you live in an apartment with no charging infrastructure? Or have to park on the street? Or in a restrictive rental home that will not allow you to add the charger?

Apple might have been interested in buying Tesla, but Tim Cook sure wasn’t interested in buying Elon Musk.

No, it wasn’t any funnier. It’s always been hit or miss (mostly miss). You just remember the good skits from the past and forget all the crappy filler. Honestly, go watch a few complete episodes from back in the day and see how much is terrible.

Oh god... I’ll never understand why anyone thought that was a good idea... they are actually redoing it from what I’ve heard, it’ll still be Fast & Furious, just focused on The Rock’s character instead of... whatever the other people are called that’s in it now, lol

Luckily, the rumors are saying that E.T. would stay even if Nintendo did end up going there! It would still fit without getting rid of it, they’ll have to tear down Barney and the animal show stages, but that would be enough!

"Jason Segel would have killed me."
