Those are the reasons why I have little confidence with the announcement so far. Sega’s had this trend of not really knowing what made their games become such a hit in the first place (Sonic included.)

Yyyyyeah... given their track record after the first game I’m gonna need a bit of convincing that whatever they’re planning next proves more than that Chronicles was just accidentally good. (and I definitely have some problems with Chronicles too)

Sega loves doing this. Dropping breadcrumbs and getting the fans in a lather, just to turn around and announce a mobile puzzle game or some shit.

Well, that depends. VC2's multiplayer wasn’t inherently bad. It was just unbalanced because you used your story units and if you’ve gotten farther and upgraded your units more than your opponent, then there was no chance they’d win.
