Ping time measures latency. Latency does increase with all VPNs as you are routing your data through another server. It won’t matter if you have the fastest internet in the world your latency will increase if you use a VPN versus no VPN. 

I do trust my VPN. They have been tested in court and have upheld their statements that they do not keep any traffic logs.

I have been using a VPN for awhile, I did not just just on the bandwagon this year. I’m not worried, I just don’t think my ISP who I am paying should be getting any financial gain from me besides what I give them to priovide me internet service.
