Fair. It is just exhausting to see developers who take on these fan projects hit with takedowns. I’m not saying that reporting on this stuff is bad or that Nintendo is evil for “protecting their brand”. We’ve seen this often enough that it’s hard to really expect it to turn out the other way.
For me, it’s the silliness that makes them great. I feel like Fahey knows this and plays to it well.
Honestly not really surprised. Online multiplayer tends to be more of a beast to code up than gamers typically realize.
I was gonna hit up the comments to say burgers > burritos, but I’ll concede to sandwiches easily (if for no other reason than a burger is just a glorified sandwich).
*readies pitchfork*
I would not have thought they would have done this. That’s pretty awesome. I would have thought we wouldn’t see amiibo support until the next main game in the series.
What they didn’t announce is that they’ll be offering a new menu item: Pidgey nuggets.
Well, karpe diem.
Yeah, I get where you’re coming from. I get nostalgic for the days that I found out about awesome games through gaming magazines (I miss Nintendo Power). I’d take a well thought article over a rushed blurry screenshot anyday.
I have a few thoughts about this discussion. First is that Kotaku is mostly a gaming news site. Leaks can represent early information and if you don’t cover it, someone else will and that can start to detract away from your audience (case in point: there’s another gaming news site I follow that tends to report on…
Dude, Doom 64 was so great in terms of that creepy, more horror-centric environment. I need to get the game again.
Jason! I’m upset at this news, and because you delivered this news I’m upset at you for reasons well outside of your control! How dare you report on something factual and beyond that have no actual involvement with! I wish bad things upon you because of my misplaced disappointment! So there!
The horror of cancellations. No matter what you do, XYZ game will be sent to the depths of hell.
I will summon hordes of spiders to track you down, Fahey.
Now I have to go back and watch Samurai Jack’s original run. I hope you’re happy; I’m going to be exposed again to one of the best animated series out there, and it’s all your fault.
Highly recommend checking out Super Star or Super Star Ultra. The fully fleshed out moveset for abilities in modern Kirby games got started with Super Star.
You could say excluding them was a pretty cold move.
Great, someone else who only tries to perpetuate this ridiculous SUPER
I dunno, there’s something to be said about giving the people what they want. With the endless fan games created, he still has a viable market to tap into.
