That is what nerds do and it does make the hacking community look awful. There are so many out there, like Geohot, that do great things and then you have some that are just bastards.

I think people need to get another hobby if not being able to get online for 3 weeks makes you go out and spend hundreds of dollars. I mean just cancel your credit card and read a couple books till Sony fixes this.

Yet I'm sure MS could get hacked just as well. It just hasn't happened yet. Just because you pay for something doesn't make it better.

This has in no way changed how I view Sony. Any company in the world can get hacked and have information stolen. Sony was just on the wrong end of it this time. It's raging nerds who caused this problem because Sony has stripped down the PS3 so much. Sony reacted exactly how they should have. They waited until they

Did you not read my post at all? I said they did the correct thing in not telling the masses before they figured out what information was stolen. Read a post before you reply to it.

Because they want to keep face with their customers. Especially a company like Sony who doesn't want to lose customers.

Sony has always been die hard towards their customers and want to keep them. I don't think everyone in the world asking them questions will improve what they are already working on. Good companies do everything they can to keep their loyal customer base their. They are going to lose customers on this so I don't see

I agree with you on most things. I believe even if Sony was "up to par on industry security standards" that the hackers would have still found a way into their. There is no system that is unhackable. They just need a little time.

They weren't sure what data was actually stolen. They did what they were supposed to do and figure out the problem before letting the media and people freak out over something unkown.

Not to mention when people find holes in Microsoft's code or backdoors they don't tell people untill there is a fix. I think Sony has been doing fine with all this stuff.

I'm happy they didn't come out right away because this would have been blown way out of the water. No company is going to get hacked and say they really have no idea what they did. Sony took the proper steps in figuring out what happened first before they let their customers know.

I just noticed I replied to the wrong post. my bad.

Valve frequently updates all their games. L4D and L4D2 got DLC stuff right away. They even updated CS:S no too long ago.

Valve normally doesn't make you buy their DLC though. So just think of it as extra time waiting for a more polished product.

I'm in class so I didn't read all of the article but I have been feeling this disconnect with Single Player games for a while now. I will get involved with a game for a couple hours and love it and after a couple days I will just kind of forget about the game. I started Demon Souls and never got back to finishing it

I still have to finish Demon's Souls. Man I am slacking.

That is what apple does. Their first and sometimes second versions of their devices have features purposely left out so they can add some of them next year and sell it as something newer and better.

I loved the graphics of Wind Waker. They were beautiful! What I couldn't stand was the sailing around everywhere. Got old really fast and I dropped the game. Was a super fun game. I just couldn't stand it.

And here I was hoping I could get my car to become a transformer by just thinking it!

It was so cool they had to post it again!
