Like even if I was somewhat sympathetic to this douche (if say he was a small landlord or retiree who needed the rent to live or was worried about the home spent much of his life in getting destroyed) how fucking dumb do you have to be to misread the room this badly and go public with this shit?

Biden’s both met with protesters in Delaware and made multiple pointed statements including one today blasting the response to protest.

“his psychotic base” so....older black voters?

fired tear gas at a group of nurses then awkwardly waved a box of masks outside an ER entrance before waddling back to his bunker?

Cross movement shit-poster unity?

Totally— and omitting Biden talking with protesters and George Floyd’s brother are both probably “accidental” omissions too.

That the Union didn’t come out with a statement covering for Chauvin was an early sign of just how egregious this killing was— the Union/FOP will back its members in virtually instance of police violence (and to be fair that is what a Union generally should do) they've been conspicuously silent on this one.

So put you down for Duckworth then

I mean he kind of is -he’s released statements; he spoke with the Floyd family and he's reached out and spoken to protestors in person.  He's not eloquent but he does seem to do the retail, quieter stuff well--the things requiring the basic decency and empathy our current POTUS so obviously lacks

Huh, seems like a crappy strategy to try and win a partisan primary then-- of course if they weren’t lazy they could always have re-registered Dem for the Primary.

Among younger voters, but better among the far more important (because they actually vote) older cohorts.

I mean Biden’s also performing dramatically better among older voters than Clinton did and is thus significantly ahead of where Hillary was in the polls at a similar point 4 years ago, but cool, cool accentuate the negative as always MAGAbels.

But isn’t that kind of the point-- that he did use his privilege to help a lot of people?

Hassett’s the “Dow 36,000" dipshit who argued after fiddling around with an Excel spreadsheet that his “cubic model” (again not a model but him literally hitting Excel’s canned curve fit features seemingly at random) predicted COVID deaths would “virtually disappear by May 15th” (the White House cut off the model then

Funny, I mean what with “most Senior Democrat leaders” opposing Equal Rights Legislation that the VRA and CRA were Championed by, passed with the votes of and signed into law by said Democratic Leaders. Why it’s almost like you’re lying.

Countdown until Jezebel starts running “Kamala the Cop” stories again because attacking the Democratic nominee is just a really smart thing to do.

Don’t forget trying to get Obama to give up on the ACA because it could hurt Dems in the mid-terms only to get smacked the fuck down by a far better man than he could ever hope to be.

MAGA 1940: Look buying War Bonds and registering for the draft seem too hard— this is America- freeeeeedom!1!1! Anyway there’s good people on both sides, can’t we just focus on the Japanese and maybe set up some more internment camps?

This. He’s pretty clearly setting down a marker in case he needs to escalate.

I mean...the public letter would seem to be a predicate to future action; that said his options are surprisingly limited (as are Scarborough’s)— Twitter is a private company, he can basically ask them to take it down voluntarily and then...I mean he could sue but that’s a high bar even if you get around the “public
