Yes the victory of a less well-funded candidate on the back of a wave of popular support and often record turnout signals "the machine"

As opposed to the string of victories by progressives in previously Republican districts over the last oh I'll be generous 10 years......
Again if the situation was flipped would there be any expectation that Bernie would shift to the center or would the 2/3s of the party that's to his right just be expected to "bend the knee"?
Absolute opposition to fracking is dumb on any number of grounds- electorally, economically and in the short term, until we’ve shifted away from a carbon-based economy, environmentally.
50% or more of women seeking access to an abortion were using some form of birth control at the time of conception
So.....forget the beard, can we talk about Rand’s sartorial decisions because to me it looks like he’s going all in on late 70s Ted Bundy cosplay.
This is maybe the single dumbest thing I’ve read on this, Congratulations for misunderstanding not just the primary but party behavior and rational response
Biden’s platform is the most progressive ever adopted by the Democratic nominee, but keep with the tankie delusions
I mean he sure seemed to excite Dems to the polls in the primary (the alternative is the Bernie was so hated and loathed by the majority of the Democratic Party that voters turned out to take him down).
oooo what’s the title, I used to read her (the food stylist) blog occasionally
The end of the 5th season (maybe 6th— the one that ended with the confirmation of R+L=J and Bran realizing who Jon is) is arguably peak Golden Age of TV. To go from that to how it went out is just....I mean a long fall.
The last episode was just insane- it literally condensed, time jumped, or outright omitted at least half a season worth of material
Not really, if his policies were determinative his utter failure to deliver would be an issue for his base-- his open racism is a much bigger factor in his appeal.
Look, it’s a time of crisis, a time of fear and uncertainty unprecedented in the modern era; the least we can do is offer NRA employees just laid off our thoughts and prayers.
I was always taught not to speak ill of the dead. So i’ll end this comment here.
I don’t know, a multimillionaire career politician with the biggest non-Billionaire warchest in the primary just got stomped by the people’s enthusiasm— as seen by record-breaking turnout in many of the states he won— for a man left for dead in January by the political pundits and donors.
Protection and expansion of the ACA- you can direct my $10 to the Planned Parenthood Action Fund.
I mean the Biden supporters are voting that’s clearly an area where his supporters are either more numerous or more enthusiastic than Bernie’s.
The hypocrisy of this purity was something that really, really annoyed me— if Biden or Warren or whomever voted or believed something in the 80s and 90s it was fair game even if they’d evolved on that issue, but Bernie got a free pass on voting against the Brady Bill/Assault Weapon ban, or letting his wife skim…
This. I voted for Warren and Biden is imperfect at best-- but he does have some pretty notable highlights-from sponsoring the Violence Against Women Act to (and this is an area where he was clearly to the left of Bernie) pushing through the Brady Bill/Assault Weapons Ban.
