I’m willing to bet that among Gen Xers and Millennial men there’s a flip between men using nothing at all starting at about age 18 (prior to that a lot of men use acne stuff) and men starting to use something if not nearly as much as women do around their mid-30s (when they start to see small visible wrinkles)— men

That’s fair, it’s like trusting Sanders to do anything about Guns that his boy Joe Manchin wouldn’t do.

Warren. I mean unless the principles you’re talking about are standing up for the NRA and refusing to compromise to achieve results then Bernie’s on his own.

I mean that’s one of the reasons so many people (including a lot of those who voted for him in 16) didn’t want Bernie to run this time, but here we are I guess.

True. I mean it’s probably more relevant that she also got roughly 3 million more votes than Bernie in the Democratic Primary.

Well...now. I mean if you don’t think he wants those votes in November then there really isn’t anything that should bother you about Hillary not supporting him

First of all, he has always been a reliably Democratic vote on important issues*

It’s the flipside of the dismissal of Biden supporters- where people try to find any reason they support the man other than that they may actually just like him and his policy positions.

Eh...I mean that’s true for Bernie and AOC as well be we don’t dismiss their endorsements.

This. Also it’s a bit short-sighted to note AOC et al and not note that Sanders (and AOC) went pretty hard against a more moderate woman of color running in a red-leaning district (Sharice Davids).

Yes to a degree— but.....being able to compromise and build coalitions matter-- virtually every major legislative achievement has required at the very least ideological compromise if not actual bipartisan compromise (see: the ACA).

She’s also such an abusive boss that the union for her employees wouldn’t endorse her run for the Senate.

With regards to Klobuchar, there’s a pretty massive degree of difference between “occasionally berating staff” and “physically abusing staffers” or “sabotaging staffers who attempt to leave” that the endorsement tries to erase.

Dershowitz and Starr also teamed up in 00s to defend Jeffery Epstein

I don’t know her ribs recipe consisting primarily of “buy ribs” was already a bit off-putting, gilding the lilly by adding “rub with Mayo” seemed odd.

He’s also pushed through some substantive legislative achievements from the Brady Bill to VAWA to helping shepard the ACA.

He’s mush-mouthed at times but I don’t think many people would call the man dumb.

I’m becoming increasingly uncomfortable with how dismissive people with (presumably) more progressive values are of Biden’s base of support— explanations seem to range from whitesplaining to wishful thinking to assuming those voters are stupid/ignorant— I get it, this is a more reassuring rationalization than

Besides, O’Rourke probably has plenty of free time in between all that skateboarding and channel surfing!”

The problem with that is the Republicans in the Judicial branch are bragging this out as long as possible— Parnas came forward voluntarily which isn’t something you can bank on - - remember at the time a whole hell of a lot of people on the left we’re complaining for months that Pelosi wasn’t moving fast enough.
