My favorite part about this piece is when she mocks Gretchen Whitmer for continuing the failed lessons of the Hillary campaign...you know the woman who (quite notably unlike Hillary) won the state of Michigan in 2018. 

Eh....for Rhode Island pot shots are fair it’s essentially a one party state with a famously corrupt political and governmental culture.

I mean— She might be wrong on the policy but given that Whitmer was a long-time state legislator who flipped a Trump state led by a Republican Governor, she might have a better handle on the politics of Health care and immigration than Libby does, at least outside of Brooklyn. 

Everyone should have issues with the Rhode Island Democratic Party— the state is effectively a one party state so all major pols run as Dems which obviously leads to issues.

Just want to point that as a NH rep, this dude probably represents roughly 2000 people— the state has a hilariously weird state legislative set up which tends to yield fringe legislators like this as a byproduct of it’s efforts to ensure local representation.

Oh it won’t hurt him much if any with the Trump rally folks; where it will kill him is with the suburbanites who like to think of themselves as not racist— those are the voters the GOP lost in 2018 and those are the voters this hurts with the most (mainly because the GOP is already at or near its floor for minority…

What? Also “drone version of AWACs”- what? On drones themselves- there’s absolutely no way that jamming commercial drone frequencies hasn’t been widely implemented over the past 5-10 years. 

Even that seems wasteful- just bury one mine- not laying a grid, not an overlapping field, one mine... close to the supposed infiltration point-- one person steps on one mine and everyone else runs home.   Minefields work for a reason.
