I mean— It also describes almost the entirety of the content on Splinter and the Slot post on Amy McGrath.......

He legitimately stopped up Duke’s team of slashers until Zion just started doing that way, way to strong to be real thing.

I don’t know Ashley, by your standards don’t Hillary and Huma kind of suck?

Yeah and having 30 Senators does even less

Cool go tell that to moderate Dem Senators in Arizona and Montana.

Uh-huh. As opposed to the hard left wins in those states of [crickets]...... Also it’s a bit convenient how you left out moderate Dems who won in Red States like Sinema and Tester (or as loathable as he is Manchin).

“different pay for the same job”— 99% sure this law wouldn’t be applicable here for the same reason it likely isn’t applicable to say WNBA salaries vs. NBA salaries— the argument will be that they aren’t the same jobs.

Right-- and you realize to get a majority we need Dems in Red States in the Senate right?  We need to pick up additional seats in AZ and MT (Sinema and Tester are substantially better than Manchin but seem relatively similar to McGrath), Colorado, Maine, retain Alabama (or compensate by picking up another seat).   We

This. The same. I swear to god I don’t understand the obsession with M4A vs. say a public option backstop. I just wish people would explain:

So....because she’s someone who has a chance to actually appeal to Kentucky voters she kind of sucks?

When we have large enough progressive majorities to pass things without needing their votes?

Most but not all-- it’s overly bloated but some grouping of CBP-Coast Guard- CIA and FBI is probably necessary and there’s a number of really good civil liberties reasons (coming out of the Church Commission) for why the CIA can’t operate domestically.

This is spot on with the exception that there does need to be some sort of collective grouping of intelligence and law enforcement agencies to prevent the stovepiping of and competition over intelligence-- I know that seems like a quibbling objection but it’s really not- stupid interservice rivalries made 9/11

The labeling is my “favorite” part of the Garrison oeuvre— it’s already blatant in your face propaganda but apparently was still too nuanced for his audience without explicitly spelling things out. (To his “credit”- the Trump depicted is so far off from reality that explanation may be necessary).

As people have noted online, Trump also might want to keep Garrison out b/c his hero worship is “saving locks of Trump’s hair” level creepy.

I mean by his standard at the very least he cpuld have used Trump- his grandfather was literally most of the things Trump decries about immigrants: Criminal, associated with drugs, exploiter of women, a traitor expelled from his homeland (not even Trump goes this far).

In the context of American politics, Pelosi is definitely to the left of the Democratic mean-- as for corraling moderates-- the ACA is a pretty great example of her doing just that-- and of the consequences of being unable to do that in the Senate (hence pulling the public option to get Lieberman on board).

I know some people like to claim that the ACA was what Republicans always wanted but there’s little to no evidence to back up this contention. Please show me the actual bill filed by Republican legislators that in anyway resembles the ACA— not just a one off Heritage foundation study that lacked Medicaid expansion or

So.....the only thing she did was pass the single most consequential piece of progressive legislation in more than half a century?
