Obama won’t endorse prior to the convention-- it’s really, really rare-- but for a direct succession (Biden running in 2016) for a former President to endorse in a competitive primary-- Bill endorsing Hillary and HW endorsing his son’s (or W endorsing Jeb) excepted for obvious reasons.

Also let’s be clear based on the way he launched his campaign-- there is literally nothing in political life that Buttigieg would probably enjoy as much as a chance to eviscerate Mike Pence to his face for 90 minutes on national TV.

I now need Billy Ray Cyrus at the CMAs in a rainbow sequined jacket introducing Lil Nas X.

Flyover’s are a bit different in terms of both planning and infrastructure costs— flight time is incredibly expensive but also mandatory for flight crews (the relatively disparity in actual in cockpit flight time is nearly as important a factor in the last half century plus of US Air superiority as technological

Good flag on Eisenhower and JFK- I was completely unaware of the latter (the former I think is a special case example given Ike’s previous role)-- OTOH given the timing it totally could have been a new tradition if LBJ and/or Nixon had done it as well.

True... But there’s no US tradition of this outside of victory parades following major military conflicts (Civil War, WW1, WW2)

I mean, the Nazis did know parades. Weird how authoritarians across the ideological spectrum seem to excel at that.

Wait... Are we really going to get into the "worst supporters going after another candidate" thing... Because there's an elephant on the room on that one.

I mean I guess where I'm confused is why should the company be obligated to sell her publishing rights at below market rates?

I’m notbsaying she wasn’t exploited in the same way a lotbof beginning artists have been but she really seems to want to bluse public pressure to secure a below market rate purchase.

Because she apparently wants to buy it at a discount? I mean I can see an argument that she should have right of first refusal but at the same time asking a business to sell its primary asset at below market rates seems a bit much.

Calling it revenge porn is like calling the “Hit em up” video a snuff film.

This. If she’d offered 300 million and been turned down that’s one thing (even them as it appears to be the publisher’s main asset it’d be a stretch- you don't sell the good stuff and then get stuck with the rest unless you've exhausted options for selling it all bundled).

I think my issue beyond, the tracknrecord you’ve addressed, is the presumption that a music publisher is somehow obligated to sell back something they’ve by all accounts paid lavishly for in the first place- this isn’t a Prince, Ke$ha, Tom Petty situation where they're forcing her to sign future deals she literally

Helmsworth I think would still attract attrntion but you’d probably assume athlete.

Collins and Murkowski both voted against the ACA repeal.

Actually getting elected would seem to be a good sign that they’re electable.

Sooo..given that some reliably progressive Senators voted for this I think there’s a pretty good chance this is another classic Splonter doesn’t understand how government works post.

Wait this is awkwardpy phrased but isn’t he basically saying don’t be prejudiced?

Funny how 8 years of Bush or 4 years of Trump makes people realize that even a moderate Dem is an almost incalculable improvement.
