I mean she delivered on the single largest piece of progressive legislation that Congress has passed in half a century... but other than that.

That Pelosi delivered on the single biggest policy objective of her career- the ACA and McConnell while similarily effective on things the Senate has sole purview over (Judges) can’t even get repeal of said policy objective through much less cobble together a replacement that unites the disparate elements of his

Marginal districts will always be the ones most likely to flip- what about moderate Dems in Red States who won such as Tester in Montana or hell even Manchin in West Virginia.

This is only partially true— it’s also true that many districts just aren’t as Blue as Pocan’s or AOC’s— that even Dem voters in those districts would prefer a more centrist Democrat.

Wait....you think a debate on substance would help Sanders?

Can an openly gay man win statewide office in Indiana?

So...he’s a younger version of the best US President in at least half a century if not since FDR?

Eric, please stop trying to make “pass the torch” happen

Oh this is my main issue with other candidates (as opposed to their constituents) taking shots on this- its a ubiquitous issue and even in areas with improvements there are still major shortfalls, the only candidates who haven’t presided over cities and states with at the very least troubling incidents of police

It can be a factor- I think a bigger factor is the general mentality of police forces to the communities they serve- I don’t really know a solution other than some sort of pre hire psych eval (already done), and requiring officers to live in the neighborhoods they patrol

Seriously, it’s a legitimate question but this was one of the worst and most Chuck Todd like of the questions: "Pete, this is a problem tied directly into both America's racial history and the more general issue of police violence- give us a solution to both, you have 30 seconds"

Eh... He was kindof amazing in 2012, he effectively ended the “Paul Ryan: Policy Wonk” bullshit. He just seemed either overprepped or simply a bit old last night.

Eh... I mean Warren has been there for a decade or more she’s a bit more moderate than Sanders but she’s also been substantially more effective in getting progressive ideas implemented than he’s been with his more purist approach.

Did you miss 2016? He loved going after Hillary, his problem is that he's just not that great of a candidate he benefited hugely from being "Option B" in 2016, when he's not the only other choice his flaws are a lot more evident.

This, the only other person on tyat stage besides Kamala who looked like even a future cycle nominee was Pete (and maybe Swalwell in 20 years-  this is his Biden when Joe said the "passing the torch" quote the Congressman loved so much run) I really, really just wish Buttigieg was from even a just slightly bluer

This. I swear this place is spinning Bernie’s performance and undercutting Kamala so much you'd think it was 2016 again.

Hell- the Congressional Black Caucus was heavily supportive of the Crime Bill people hit Bidem and Samders for supporting.

Warren can do that, Sanders is basically just re-running 2016 only he doesn't have Hillary to play off of this time.

Hell of a typo CBS, unless Aural HIV is an emrging threat

It says something, that an article attacking Kamala for something was basically the single easiest “guess what Splinters first stories of the day will be” as soon as the debate ended.
