I mean Hillary was the establishment choice in 2008 as well, unlike in 2016, there was a strong enough challenger to wrest the nomination from the frontrunner by appealing to more voters.

This. The idea that the entire caucus is just too dumb to realize the awesome gains they’d make by going AOC is just completely at odds with reality.

I’m not saying it was hugely effective, I’m just saying it’s kind of mixed messages to blast the guy for spending the money across multiple posts; then swiftly shifting gears to blast Dem Leadership for not pushing a similarly doomed impeachment effort.

You mean like funding NextGen Climate? Which is probably the most built organizing entity focused primarily on Climate Change?

Well apparently their elite hackers and oppo research folks are always reaching out to American candidates....

Also... For a site that loves to blast Dems for being ineffectual you seem to lack an understanding of why said centrist caucus has influence-- despite it being laid out in the article itself-- these are the folks who will determine if the Dems have the House in 2020-- they hold seats that are actually competitive

So out of curiosity... Y’all just changing the page and hittong centrist Dems for opposing impeachment without ever admitting that Tom Steyer had a point when he was organizing and advertising for the same? You know the fundimg, organizing and advertising y’all mocked thebfuck out of?

Depends is there a federal penal facility in SoCal?

Is ending the Bloodline of Cruz an option, that’s hardcore wallpaper.

Same. I mean this is stupid and forced but for some godforsaken reason memes became a form a legit political persuasion in 2016 so whatever infinitesimal gain this generates is worth it.

This. Bourbon's already getting hit in the stupid fucking trade war it doesn't need to take fire here as well.

The latter part of that is what went wr9ng for Republicans in the 2016 primary— no one went after Trump directly until it was too late because everyone assumed he’d collapse and they didn’t want to alienate his base.

Oh come on! Ivanka is like 30% neck.

Sanders is falling as well- Warren has clear momentum whereas Bernie seems to a have a ceiling.

Yeah....AOC doesn’t play nearly as well outside of liberal enclaves.

Also don’t sell Booker short- he comes off very, very well in formats where he can simply give his life story and stick to talking points.

Tulsi’s so outside the normal parameters that she could be tough to deal with or she could just set Warren up to dunk on her.

I mean...if they want to avoid a “kiddie’s table” they basically have to do this don’t they?   They can’t exactly pick and choose who goes to what debate without it looking like either the aforementioned “kiddie table” or like they’re putting their thumbs on the scale.

I want her to get fired and for her husband to dunk on her online when it happens.

To be fair LaRussa was probably half a fifth deep when he made that promise.
