First of all, the golf meme is getting old. I’m sure it probably came from whatever right wing propaganda you get your “news” from, but let me nip that thing in the butt: Obama took far, FAR fewer trips than GWB, Clinton, GHB, or Reagan. Its not that its a problem for a President to take a vacation: its a fucking

Not really sure how you think doing good things makes him an abject failure?

Hm... how many thousands of cars sold and in private hands with only one fatality? I’d say it’s probably safer than a full week of eating fast food.

I’m going to assume less than people kill.

Yes, because “I regularly take my family out on a 500 mile drive”......said almost nobody ever.

see this is why i was brilliant for majoring in history. there’s ALWAYS gonna be history being made out there.

Who goes 500mi? I think “most” people travel 50mi or less one-way. Shit, mine is 7mi one-way. I get the overall mileage but cmon, the time to charge X amount is 20mins. A family of 5 traveling 500mi takes at least 20mins to gas up, feed and use the restroom.... oh and it’s free to charge that electric car (Tesla).

Your exact numbers may be off, I personally think 200 miles@35k will be the moment we look back and say “that’s when EVs started taking over the world.” The trend is definitely clear, though, it’s just a matter of when.

Meanwhile I’m four years into getting a Petroleum Degree and I entered the major right after the launch of the Model S pretty much.

... the tent in ones pants?

I haven't needed or used one in years, perhaps you should join us here in 2016.

“Because having them sell their own cars is basically them putting a monopoly on their product.”

That’s not illegal. There are more than enough alternatives to automotive transportation. Therefore, it’s not a monopoly. If Apple can restrict sales of iPhones to certain carriers, then Tesla is certainly free to restrict sales of their vehicles to company dealers. In both cases consumers have plenty of alternatives.

Tesla doesn’t? I must be imagining those Teslas that I see in my office car park, or on transporters leaving the factory.

And you can believe him because his honesty is beyond reproach.

As far as I am concerned fake HNTSA submissions are a bigger issue, than snarky reply from Tesla. I see sarky response as perfectly appropriate to false accusations. Also, Niedermeyer and other trolls shold be investigated by SEC for possible attempt to manipulate stock prices for their financial benefit.

False, non-compete clauses are illegal in all of California, including the lawncare professionals.

Non-compete clauses don’t exist in California by California law. Even for the lawn care companies.

NHTSA puts Google cars as Level 3. While a Tesla may be capable of Level 3. It is a Level 2 system.

With autopilot.
