I don’t know what’s worse: the near-daily sob stories of some underqualified fools who expect anything less than a “minimum” lifestyle while working a lower-than-entry-level job, or the pathetic excuses for “journalism” implying that the companies paying the underqualified fools are somehow treating said fools

I feel like a lot of these full-time drivers are missing the point of Uber. It was originally conceived as a way to make some extra cash on top of a regular job, not to replace a full-time job entirely. Also, buying/leasing a new car just to drive for Uber isn’t exactly a wise choice. What I tell people is to find out

For real. Companies and people routinely obtain patents for pie-in-the-sky ideas. Obtaining a commercially viable product is much harder than describing it in a patent application.

It’s tragic that a family lost a child. But the fault clearly lies with the person that was driving and using FaceTime simultaneously. He/She deserves punishment for what they did, and what they’ve made this family go through.
