Why did you leave out the one thing that seems to trip everyone up and is often used to rationalize buying new? Maintenance and repair costs.

Seems like it might be worth a quick check with the date too—”Hey, I don’t know the material for all of these comics, so we might have to be prepared from some pretty raunchy/whatever stuff. Are you ok with that?” Plus you can always leave if your date raises the white flag. Seems like it would be easier if you…
Wasn’t this a fundamental communications technology in the Caves of Steel series (Aasimov)?
Personally, I prefer the crispy land fish.
I’m not sure why you are saying “somehow makes the rape OK”—the lawyer is not claiming the rape was ok, they are representing their client’s statement that the earlier account was consensual.
That is an equally, if not more important point.
I agree with the sentiment, but unfortunately reality often forces us to accept things that seem unfair. For example, it would be nice if, “felons having difficulty finding work is justice and karma” did not in reality mean, “felons having difficulty finding work is results in more crime.”
I think the reason why people have such a problem with a denial of reverse racism is the fact that it seems like no one ever separates “bigotry” from racism. Even the dictionary is unhelpful, defining racism as “prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief…
In Northern Virginia, the going rate seems to be $10/hr.
So well said. This is a textbook example of something that is legally correct and something that is morally/ethically incorrect. Two mistakes so many people seem make: a) they treat legally valid actions as automatically morally/ethically valid, and/or b) they think that an ethical mistake (deliberate or not) by one…
I guess I just don’t understand—what I quoted supports my point perfectly because no one, including him, actually MEANS “time” in that context. You think he said what he means, which makes no sense to me whatsoever.
Well, let’s be specific. Quote:
But you understand that the use of “time” is just a proxy for quantity of enjoyment right? The focus isn’t on “how long it takes to play the game,” it is on the cost versus how much enjoyment I expect to get. In his case, he was making a judgement that said, while I *really* enjoyed the game, i was expecting *more…
Again, those are two extremes and my experience shows those aren’t the only two options. Coaches (and players) absolutely allow for unique training experiences—you work with the talent you have and sometimes you have to alter your training approach to maximize certain players’ contributions to the team.
I think I would be willing to make the argument that said knowledge is always relevant to ANY discussion.
It’s true—he probably looked like we was getting faster because the NE o-line was getting tired.
Thanks!
Raid 0 for speed, presumably. Wonder what he does for backup?
Actually, it has been proven that the largest downloaders of music are also the largest buyers of music. There are quite a few other studies that indicate positive affects. So many in fact, I’m surprised you’re not aware of them.
One of the announcers keeps talking about “launching” and that he doesn’t see it (targeting), but the rule clearly includes leading with the helmet. Not sure the announcer knows what he’s talking about.
