I didn’t know that was a phrase until he said it and I’m not a shut-in.

It’s crazy to me that policy hasn’t improved over the course of my life. We’ve literally had Lifetime playing out this scenario for decades. It’s not like we don’t know it exists, it’s just that it’s not deemed as important to law makers. It’s crazy-making.
This whole Johnny Depp/Amber Heard thing makes me stomach turn every time. I’m capable of seeing nuance and how this could have been a mutually abusive relationship, but I believe Amber overall.
So, she did the right thing and they still arrested her. I guess her next step should have been to leave a note at the Lost and Found desk? What could have possibly prevented this? Like the other staff members asked, would they have been treated the same way? Likely, not.
Yes. I just assumed he was making this up to prove his sex appeal and “cool” factor.
Does it? Because if I was using my social circle as a writing team, we wouldn’t have known about her condition, either. Joke would have gotten through! Though...it wouldn’t have occurred to us to make that joke in the first place, as Jada has always worn short hair.
The only person I was aware of that had alopecia was Ayanna Pressley. I think it depends what news/pop culture sites you’re reading and when. So, while I understand the pain of alopecia for women (I have a version of it, as well), you can’t expect everyone to know and be aware of your business, even if you are one of…
I actually really like that movie and I have cable, so I still see it on from time to time. Great cast.
My main thing is, I and everyone I spoke about this with, had no idea Jada has alopecia. I can only imagine most people are in the same boat and felt like we had missed something. I honestly wondered if she had been secretly undergoing chemo, based on Will’s response.
Is it wrong that I came here to basically say the same thing? I would never trust someone the way men trust/expect women to just be on the pill.
This is beyond infuriating. We’ve reached the point where I’m just a shell of a person screaming silently and perpetually in my own head.
That’s fair. The issue is not the refusal on his part per se, but that he is being enabled by his friends and team.
Remember when Clinton’s Surgeon General said we should be teaching about masturbation in Sex Ed? People lost their goddamn minds.
If I feel like it’s enough already, I can only imagine how Kim K feels. I can only imagine how difficult it would be to live with someone who refuses to treat his mental illness.
When I read this took place in Pennsylvania, I should have known that on a friendly camping trip, everyone would bring their weapons cache.
Yes, that whole sequence of events/season arc was huge and devastating. You’re right: It lead to so much.
Kendra was only in THREE episodes? She looms much larger in my mind.
Yeah, am I wrong that I thought prisons and federal facilities were preferable to county jails?
I agree with you and also agree that I didn’t think the sentence was too harsh. I think I’m leaning more towards your take, though.
WHOA.
