She's 40. I don't think the Millenials can claim her.

My mom was widowed at age 48 and now it's 13 years later and she still is holding onto that memory of the perfect husband she had. I really wish she could move on and I think it would be healthy for her too. I'm so glad you were able to find someone... I can't imagine how difficult a situation that must be.

OH GOD. Me too. So much. But I wonder if it's a little bit of narcissism on my part? I too am a ginger. Whatever I'm fine with it.

I WISH my farts were blue!

Pubic hair is back?! FUCK YEAH. I HATE waxing/shaving.

Effects of drugs are not always dose-dependent. I wish it were simpler because it would make pharm a whole lot easier, but that just isn't the case. Even simple things like the formulation of the drug (inactive ingredients) can change the way the drug works. Although I have no idea if that's the case for this

Yeah I can see that. I don't know how I feel about it myself.

Whoa... I didn't mention anything about consenting to sex. I was only addressing someone else's comment in that they mentioned how their friends assumed the actress was being exploited b/c of her DS. I am not at all qualified to speak on whether or not she should "get laid" in a TV show.

Of course not. And you're right. A wide range of capabilities exist. Most of the folks I know with developmental disabilities know what they want, even if they can't always communicate it clearly. Does that mean they can necessarily live on their own and make the best decisions? No. But some can and do.

Hey Burt, you ever been to the Garvin Store?? Gosh, I don't even remember exactly where it is, but it's at a crossroads somewhere in Hill Country. They have SO MUCH WEIRD STUFF. And peacocks in the yard!

I think sometimes people forget that just because someone may have a developmental disability does not mean they aren't capable of doing amazing things and making their own decisions. At the end of the day, they are their own person and only they truly know their own wants and desires. Down Syndrome does not equal

I have my favorite pizza place's number saved in my phone. I have a problem.

I thought the exact same way, but was too scared to say it!

That... is so... fucking awful. I just have no other way to respond. I'm sorry that happened to you.

That's a good point!

Ooo give them to me! I'm really the worst at finishing bottles. I'll open one, meh, and promise myself I'll drink the rest by the next night. Nope. Never happens. And then I'm like, welp, it's probably vinegar now, better use it in some cooking...

Yup. That's exactly it. I love making fun of bad science, but you have to understand what makes it bad!

I totally agree. In just this one article (so I'm not speaking for all the science articles Jezebel posts), what bothers me most is that instead of approaching the science and methods with a critical eye, we're blasting the man behind the science. From this article, I'm not getting any scientific debate... all I get

They shouldn't! Down with it!

I was really just referring to religious organizations that can fire you if they don't like your lifestyle.
