Never understood the purpose of MAX a/c. If you have it on the most powerful setting (usually 4) it will still be on that setting when you return to your scorching car. And if have your a/c on level 1,..it's only a knob turn. Don't really see the use of a button that is essentially just a lvl4 a/c
