@Shinta: The problem is that video games, nearly exclusively, trivialize conflict, "that" or not.

@foofad: I mean hypocritical in the sense that, by the stated guideline, it's inconsistent to not ban more games. Your note - which I agree is wrong, but that I'd think of as an equal but different wrong - I'd call more self-delusional, or maybe even cowardly.

Is Civ banned because the Arabs and the Americans can be at war? Would Missile Command have been banned?

I think, based on the comments, a lot of people are missing the essence of the quote, which isn't all that surprising: it's fairly poorly worded.

@MisterFoo: The fault lies not in the fictive versions of science, but that the public doesn't seem to bother to note that fact, thus somewhat requiring going overboard.

Finally, some cosplay I A) recognize and B) wholeheartedly endorse!

@doctorrobert: Then it's not at all like what you know. There's no grinding. In fact, I think the general consensus is that it's more of a struggle in the opposite direction - XP zooms up fairly quickly, and after the first bit, weapons and ammo is in generally good supply, making for more of an embarrassment of

@kobeashi: Oh, I got lots of ideas, but I don't have the code background. I'm better at refining an idea.

@kobeashi: I think you need to pick a genre first, just to narrow the field.

@Azel: Battlefield Brittan is an awesome show. The episodes on Shrewsbury and the Battle of Brittan are especially good.

Topic: Bioware writes plots that are sub-par to mediocre, but writes consistently excellent dialog, which frequently makes up for it.

"What's the appeal? What's special about the horse?"

@lonewolf80: Yes. There are different "levels" of horse, with variations in speed, stamina, and recovery.

@BananaStandCEO: It's not just Napa, it's three buck Chuck, and Merlot at that. It's the functional equivalent of promoting Cooking Mama by sending a single, uncooked McNugget.

@battra92: It's a wedding that you're a participant in. That doesn't make it your party.

@rekor: It was much worse, actually, when the Gawker had the "most commented" comment appear next to the article on the main page, because it was, inevitably, the most objectionable (and frequently least intelligent) comment that'd drawn the most attention.
