"Yes, you *do* have a basic understanding of science. What you don't have is an advanced understanding of science."
One of the trickier issues is sports. Middle-school and high school bio males are larger in stature and physically stronger than their female counterparts. Unless hormone therapy has been applied for the amount of time necessary to undergo the necessary changes in muscle mass there is no way that there could be…
I work with Engineering Students- mostly men, but women are increasing the ranks the last few years. It really is sad that the girls can't do math stereotype exists. Both the men and women are great and stupid in equal degrees in my experience. When I was doing my undergrad all my Calculus instructors were women and…
So much hating on a smart girl who can write and has a ruthless, whip smart sense of humor directed towards stereotypes, not individuals. Quit with the hating on women who rock it and aren't afraid to be different. And get a sense of humor while you're at it.
"I'm not some sugar twat that's down to be pumped and dumped"
This girl is awesome. I am so thankful she has no intention to rehab her image and is just jumping into it cunt deep.
"We view eyewear as sculptures that attract people who are ready for a strong relationship with themselves."
If that was her intent she should have built up to it. The typical style for a "list of three" joke is to start with something practical and then move to wildy outlandish. Granted, she was in a tricky position because she already had a punchline for her #3. #1 was a joke she formatted it in a funny way.
I am not a fan of the Jezebel brand of satire, if that's what this is. The writers here have so often exhibited a lack of self-awareness that it becomes difficult to tell when they're attempting satire.
its telling that you wrote this out in such a way as to demonize stereotypically male behavior in men and valorizing stereotypically female behavior in women while ostensibly trying to present a reasoned and neutral view
Why is everyone so quick to dismiss the idea that men and women might actually have different styles of doing or thinking about things? I mean, it's not a solid rule, but my experience tells me that it's true 90% of the time. That's not being sexist. It's making an observation.
Oh, Japan is getting worse, no doubt. I even saw a change for the worse since 2003 when I was first there and this year when I was most recently there.
Yes, absolutely. And I'm all in favor of these kinds of changes.
Yes, dear.
"Suggesting that men will mindlessly agree to their female partners just to avoid argument reinforces the idea that there’s some working model for heterosexual relationships that people should emulate."
I have the same reaction to inability to slip into something approaching reasonable English in a formal setting like court but I'm a lawyer and occasionally have to show up in court and it's astounding that she's more reflective of the norm and not exception. This isn't a race-thing either. it's a social class-thing.…
Every time you make me wear your jelly shoes and nail polish, I think up new ways to control your life when you are all growed up!
Right up until he's a sexual predator, I don't care about his personal life, or if he cheated on his wife. I care about his policies, and if he advocates for huge amounts of women to have better lives.
I can't be the only one seeing this.
