How to merge lanes. I can't tell you how much it drives me insane when someone wants to merge on the highway (right lane, 55-65 mph) at about 35. You may not have the post powerful car, but this is a case where you might ACTUALLY get run over if you go slow.

A few years ago I bought a Porsche 944 from a guy for $550 in OK condition. He was about to replace the whole wiring harness. You know what the problem was? He was trying to jump start it without a battery. He would put it on a floor jack on soil, get underneath it WITHOUT A JACK STAND, short the starter and was

I hope not. The 911 design is iconic. It set the tone for how every recent Porsche looks. You can take all the badges off the cars and you would still know it's a Porsche.

Anyone else notice that all the rooms look like a set for a low-budget porn movie?

I was about to disagree when I realized that you're referring to the UK website. Unfortunately, us yanks don't get such Ariel awesomeness — the US website is adequate, but nothing exemplary.

I was thinking the same thing.

I've always thought about putting a hinged panel in the floorboard on my car. If you had anything in the car, you have a chance to ditch it before you pull over. If anything was recovered, it could be plausible that it was on the road and you just ran it over.

What about a non-tech job with a tech company? I graduate with a Marketing degree in a few months and would LOVE a job with Google, preferably in market research.

The Dick's Sporting Goods store here in Georgia (not even cold here...) carries gloves with a similar system built in.

100% yes! I am in the process of building my garage out now. I plan to have 18" of louvered panels behind the full length of a 12' workbench.

As far as tools go, I'd say you have a well-equipped home shop about the time you buy a shop press. It's probably the first big tool that isn't common.

I'd love a McLaren F1.

Yikes. The S model had 250 or so bhp out of the factory. The automatic transmission is definitely not designed to handle 350. (and this car didn't start its life as an S... see the exhaust in the video)

I'm assuming long car trips are 10+ hour stints or so. I generally do 4 hours without a break.

I agree. The software is pretty bad. They release a new Facebook version every Tuesday. There's bound to be bugs with a weekly release schedule....

Did you read the article? The issue isn't that he drove it into the ground. The issue is that Tesla never informed him of the proper maintenance procedures.

Instead of starting a new thread on manual vs flappy paddle, I think we need to fight for manual OR flappy paddle VS auto.

#COTD ? Or meta cotd since it's a comment on a cotd?

Sorry - the site kept telling me comment not accepted or some similar error code.

Was that an intentional Magritte reference in the title? The Treachery of Hardware perhaps?
