@kalachakraa: The home depot boxes are where it's at. I used them for a recent move, and found that they're heavy duty enough to haul tools without an issue. Even if you're not putting them on pallets, they're all big and it helps A LOT having every box the same size when moving with a hand truck.

@homoviper: one of the few things I've learned over the years is that there is a a time and a place to throw people under the bus, as they say. Set her up for failure, and complain about the results.

@leetgeek: I hear there's lots of sand.

@Mr.Gawn: Pro-Tools seems to be the industry standard, but they lock you in to using only Digidesign hardware. MOTU has some great input interfaces that offer more bang for the buck than the Digidesign units.

@seancron: Handbrake - no question. Works on Windows, and used to on Ubuntu, but 10.4 changed a lot of things, and Linux never had great video support, anyway.

I've got to say, if there was a Gawker Media run pot blog, I would read it.

The best kind of justice is internet vigilante justice.

@Lyrandian: @unwritten_law9: I personally trust Pelican cases, but OtterBox may be about the same thing. I keep my HD camcorder and my still camera in a Pelican case, when I'm on my boat, I feel 100% comfortable throwing in the camera case and jumping in after it. Not a drop has ever gotten in.

To the extent of my knowledge, this applies to FESCUE and other broad-leaf grasses. I would mow fescue between 3 and 4 inches high. Bermuda, however, likes to be short and thick, more like one inch high. It will take a while to get it established, especially with poor soil, but it can be done. Once it's established,

If they won't open in MSOffice anyway, how is this different than changing the extension on a .zip or .rar file?

@minjin: On eBay especially, watch out for blatant rip-offs, though. You wouldn't think that the $10 oakleys or designer purses they sell on street corners are real, same goes for the $10 designer items on eBay.

I'm still iffy about this. You often get what you pay for. Yes, the glasses will work, but I can notice a huge difference between even just the old LensCrafters lenses and the lenses that my Oakley dealer cuts for me. Not in looks, mind you, but in accuracy. I simply see better with the same prescription with the

I have basically the same thing set up with Google Docs and an input form that I have bookmarked on my cell phone, so I don't have to remember what I thought of a wine until I have access to the spreadsheet. I highly suggest it.

It's not a bad idea, but you can get much better results using a 12V deep cycle lawnmower battery (Model # UB12180 - make sure you get the deep cycle one, there are many manufacturers selling a battery under this part number) and a Pelican case. If you haven't used Pelican cases before, I highly recommend them. I keep

As a bartender, I can't begin to tell you how true that is.

I use Google. I'm all for this switch. Ubuntu is free. The majority of users don't pay Canonical for support. The resources that Canonical uses to offer free support and distribute Ubuntu - like web hosting, offices, and computers - cost money. The OS has to have some sort of default search engine, if they can turn

@KeyserSöze - Professional Blog Commenter: Its a common thing to do to 944s. The engine fits perfectly except for the brake booster and the transaxle can handle it. Do not do it with a 924 - the transaxle will blow up.

I do this and it's easy ... have a bin for clean and a bin for dirty. They never get washed with the rest of my clothes.
