You know, I can’t think of a single ruined landmark in TWD, which is kinda weird. Nothing says “dystopian future” like a ruined landmark.

We’re all confused about this because of poor storytelling, but I think the idea is that Hale-bot began as a straight copy of Season 1 & 2 Dolores in a different shell, however she also absorbed aspects of the human Hale’s personality in order to assume her role in the real world. In the process she became attached to…
David Bowie and Nine Inch Nails’ “The Man Who Sold The World.”
I wonder what Charlotte’s “transcendence” actually is. It looks like the drones are transplanting the hosts’ pearls into new, very not-human bodies. Or are these just vessels that take them somewhere else for further processing?
I wonder if this is indeed the very last time we get to see the Man in Black smile to himself after being shot at/stabbed/in some way attacked by a host ...
OK, so it doesn’t really matter if it was the actual human William or a faithful copy because he’s dead now. But his legacy continues as the host created in his likeness has not only killed Charlotte Hale, but donned the black hat and threw her carefully curated world into chaos. It’s now a dog-eat-dog world and…
I think people are randomly assuming it means the same thing it means on a Ford.
Small Car Fun > Big car boring.
The Honda Fit in general is one of the top-5 best things Honda has ever done, and is also one of the greatest cars ever sold in America. Jesus himself will need to pry mine from my withered, dusty corpse hands
lower decks is awesome.
Gotta be honest I didn’t see why SNW was getting praised until near the end of episode 2 And I realized it’s just designed to play off nostalgia. So now looking at it through the lense of a Doctor Who or another family show that sometimes skews too young, it’s enjoyable. It’s just updated TNG or Voyager, which is fine…
you know, one of the thoughts that bubbled up in me while watching the new star trek movies was: “damn, if we could get a proper trek story with such visuals, how immensely cool would that be.”
I love Strange New Worlds.
If you’re a Star Trek fan who hasn’t warmed to Discovery or Picard and haven’t watched Strange New Worlds yet, you’re missing out. It’s the Star Trek you were hoping to get.
To each their own, of course, but if anything, Star Trek is warmer and goofier now than ever.
Eh. I think the Mirror universe is played out. DISCO already wrung the last drops from that premise.
My impression is that The Orville is basically TNG with the serial numbers filed off, and they seem to like that. I haven’t watched it myself, so I can’t really judge. Again, something for everyone!
I agree, they’re all a bit different and that’s fine.
I’m willing to give it a go, but the idea doesn’t spark joy.
While not all of these shows may be to everyone’s taste, I see that as a feature, not a bug. Having different shows with different tones allows us to have a lot of Trek without them stepping on each others toes too much. If they were all too samey, I think that the whole Trek renaissance would likely burn out pretty…
