Depends on who is assessed fault, and since there’s no stopping allowed on the freeway and you are apparently in the driving lane (since you’ve gotten rear-ended), you may actually end up paying the other guy’s deductible.

Except it’s worse than that.  The people stopping aren’t going to politely leave room for those less fortunate to get through, so not only are they hogging all the shelter, they’re *also* creating a massive traffic jam at the worst possible time.
