I always found it amusing that BJ Novak (Ryan) and Mindy Kaling (Kelly) were two of the writers, and their characters were consistently the most awful people in the show, particularly towards each other.

I’ve been watching the reruns on comedy Central lately and I think Kevin is the unsung comedy hero of the office. There are times when he just says one word in that exaggerated Kevin voice and it’s hilarious.

C3's were faster? Really?

The only two Corvettes I’ve driven are the C5 and the C6, and the C6 was better in every respect. At least _someone_ is the anti-BMW.

The seating position makes me think of the Segway.

I own a 91, so I’m familiar with the gearing. I think that’s one reason people often think the car is slower than it actually is in the real world, because the 0-60 time sucks, relatively speaking.

Keep in mind the difference in straight-line performance between a stock Focus ST and an NSX is about the same as the difference between an NSX and a standard F430 (not Challenge). About a second in 0-60 and a few tenths more in the quarter mile.

It appears he was forced to move a large number of cars from the junkyard on his property to one that was commercially run.

It has a Toyota badge, so close enough, right?

I think some of the newer cars are cam phasing only, with no VTEC style switchover.  Some or all of the newer turbos don't even have VTEC at all.  The turbo is the only thing that "kicks in" (yo).

“Solo is easily the worst Star Wars film since the prequels. It’s a by the numbers origin story with an underwhelming lead.”

Edit: no idea how/why Kinja inlined the entire article.

Forced induction to bring the apparently anemic Mercedes engine up enough to make slightly more power than the original 185hp Honda engine. Which should be just about enough to offset the additional drivetrain loss from going RWD.

I’ve also done this for years, but have found a few pluses for Expedia in recent years that make it useful on occasion for foreign carriers.

I had one with an LQ1 swap (the DOHC 3.4L V6 derived from the 2.8), which is probably what would have ended up in it....or maybe even better, the prototype supposedly had an all-aluminum version. It was a fun car. Somewhere I have a timeslip with a 13.9s quarter mile...

Yeah, I was talking about the Camry 2.2L engine the SW20 got in the US, not the 2.0L other countries apparently got.

If you can’t fit in a Fiero, don’t even bother to sit in an S2000 or NSX.

The V6 did have a bit more torque, but only 5hp more than the nonturbo SW20. I drove a friend’s 1991 (early suspension) and it felt almost exactly like my 1985 Fiero SE V6. The two are almost eerily similar to drive. Similar weight, power, handling, etc.

Dome Zero!

The co-driver gets to replace the fuses while in motion?
