A stellar record of building one car? (Yeah, I know about the Roadster, but people didn’t really care about that and it lacks most of what people like about the Model S, other than the electric drivetrain.)

1985 Pontiac Fiero, about a month after I bought it, clutch would not fully disengage. I could see the lever on the outside of the transmission moving, so the clutch hydraulics were good and figured it needed a new clutch. Ordered a new one, pulled the engine and transmission out*, and found out the clutch lever on

I drove a non-GXP convertible and thought it drove pretty well, if a bit lacking in power. What was terrible was everything else about the car. You would think they would have thought about things like visibility and usability while designing the car, but apparently not. May as well buy an MR2 Spyder if you want a not

Yeah, I put my keys (and wallet) in my back pocket(s), and use my front pockets for phone and camera. I’m afraid I’ll break a big plastic fob if I sit on it wrong. Tends not to be very comfortable, either.

There’s this new invention for you to put your hands on called the steering wheel...

In the US, I don’t think we ever got a turbo RX-7 until 1985, as well. And that was a completely different car that was similar in both power and weight to the 944.

If you wanted more power than that, you bought the 944 Turbo.

Or, depending on how you look at it, the worst of both worlds.

The ILX is the only vehicle they sell for which AWD is not an option, since the TLX replaced the TL in 2014. So it does seem like they are moving that way.

I bought the early 90s NSX. No regrets.

When I see a 355, I see:

I thought the front half of the car looked amazing and the rear looked mismatched. I agree on the cut off cabin, and also disliked the cut off rear end with tiny round taillights. That said, I think the shape has grown on me over the years. The shape of the curve along the side and the rear haunches, as Leno would

Did you actually ask him how much he wants? A lot of people put $1 on ads rather than the real price, because CL won’t let you leave the price blank. If he said he is really selling it for $1, then yeah, it’s a scam.

You might be surprised. I was looking for a 90's era winter beater about 10 years ago, and after driving a 93-ish AWD turbo eclipse at a dealer, I spotted a clean one of these for about the same price ($3000, which I thought was a little high at the time). It wasn’t quite as fast in a straight line, but it was much bet

Because Acura exists.

I think you’ll have to talk to Dodge for that. They were showing off ridiculously painted Vipers at the auto show last year to show off their new custom paint option.

So you wouldn’t spend twice as much as a Viper for the NSX, but you’d pay four times as much as the Viper for the GT?

Until I looked closely, I thought you were referring to “the beak”. It’s smaller iteration on the NSX does look sort of mustache-like.

True. It’s annoying when you shift into first and then have to wait 30 seconds or more for an unusually long left turn signal.

More often than not, If you watch the cross traffic’s light, you can see when it turns yellow. Even if you can’t see the light itself, you can often see the reflection on the sun(?) shield for the light below it.
