They absolutely do. Just throwing haymakers on ice skates is very dangerous.

Lots of people like myself, love the fighting aspect of the game. I mentioned this in another post, but paying attention to detail is important in annual releases like this. Leaving it the way it was would have been a mistake and I for one and glad they took steps to try and improve rather than ignore it.

MLB games do allow you to intentional hit and charge the mound to start a brawl. I don't know about NBA games though...
