If you looked at his timeline you would have seen him RT this. He addresses it right here:

I hate Matt Cooke, but he's right. He knows he's there and Mcquaid turns his back as faces up the boards. One of the first things you learn when entering a full-contact hockey league as a kid is to NEVER turn back into a fore-check like that because you WILL get hurt.

What have we learned about these storms from the chasers? I've never been clear on that.

I'm in complete agreement with the suspension. It was unnecessary and plain stupid. He basically did it for attention, and he'll definitely not be doing it again.

Good riddance. The Rangers were stacked and they barely made it into the playoffs.

You wanted to see where people thought you were saying consoles were superior, so I showed you. I was arguing against everything you said about PCs and consoles being the same; they just aren't. I own a 360 and PC rig so the differences are very clear.

The final line in your first comment was "Tell me who wins again?".

They'll find a way to screw it up.

They always do.

Completely agree. I've spent a lot of money on my 360, including the bullshit $60 CDN/year they charge just to be a part of the xbox live community. I'm hoping I'm misinterpreting this somehow but if its true Microsoft can go fuck themselves. I'll gladly pay a premium to build a more versatile and powerful PC for my

Just shut up already.

No charges for the driver? You can run someone down and no manslaughter, careless driving or anything?

This is only the beginning. So stupid of the NHL not to address concussion/headshots with any real consistency especially with all of the lawsuits the NFL is facing.

This guy needs help.

And again, you're not even considering the fact that affiliates in many "non-hockey" markets didn't air those games. They are trying to EXPAND their exposure and getting teams with casual fan-bases that have money to spend. The Kings making their run exploded their revenue and fan-base which leads to bigger TV deals

Detroit is a ratings powerhouse on NBC for the affiliates that actually choose to air the NHL. You're forgetting how many don't even air those games. In the payoffs, it all leads to larger revenue.

Ratings are not everything.

I'll re-iterate that I said I was Canadian because I wasn't aware of how hockey is covered in general outside the US. Also, I'm a Leafs fan.

I don't believe there is an conspiracy at foot, but it IS better the NHL financially if Anaheim goes farther. People in Anaheim that will spend money on everything NHL related with a deep run, resulting in a revenue boost. The LA Kings did the same with their run.

As long as they've got guys like Milbury, Pierre McGuire and Don Cherry getting all the attention in the US, hockey doesn't stand a chance. All guys who are stuck in another era.

I don't think Brodeur will be as quickly forgotten, but yeah, usually if you do everything right, you don't really get noticed at all because it doesn't give anyone anything to write about.
