Well, since Alexi never played in England (he went to Italy) I think it sort of follows the FA woudn't give him a station name. I am surprised they gave Deuce one and not McBride.
That I'll grant you. The only thing I'd offer in response is that your core supporters for this team would be from a different pool by and large from the traditional Atlanta ticket buyer. I'd see it initially being like the Thrashers with a larger base and an owner who actually wants the team. Signings and success…
I didn't know Aurthur Blank owned the Thrashers
Would you equate the Thrashers to the Falcons?
Kansas City didn't have a whole bunch of support either, as recently as four years ago. It's completely doable, as long as you do not expect the stadium to be filled to the rafters. I think 27K is a bit much, would feel better with 20-23K capacity.
Think it was just the one, but it's probably both by now..
There actually is a core group. It's not enough to fill a whole stadium, but it could fill up an end of the stadium. You would then build your audience from there. It's worked elsewhere.
Only if the Falcons move.
Chivas is a totally different animal, with a host of self imposed issues.
Or I could be messing with you because you've already shown some ignorance and I can't be arsed to correct each and every mistake you're making. I never said that it's a slam dunk idea for a city to invest its capital I only noted that the concept of investing in MLS is a smarter move than sinking money in another…
Your total lack of knowledge in how MLS is built makes this a difficult discussion to have intelligently. But then, it's deadspin.
If you think the market dynamics for Soccer are the same as Hockey, then you're obviously not going to be able to understand the concepts of billionaires investing in growth markets.
I know this is snark, but you might want to look at who exactly owns teams in MLS.
This is hilarious.

Because this nations demographics will NEVER EVER change.
Sporting KC is looking at Rugby Options Making it a real sporting club. RSL, yeah that was lame. Portland Timbers, Seattle Sounders, Vancouver Whitecaps and Montreal Impact are pretty North American though.
Took me a sec to realize what F-Bomb you meant. We need to come up with another term for that. Crushing Rainbows?
