Cam's problem is that his teams tend to do worse when he's being asked to do more. And whether that's a fair assessment or not, it's difficult to keep talking about him in the context of those other guys when they've all had so much more success than he's had.

Smart move by Newton (or the Panthers PR guy who suggested it). King has reached that point where he doesn't want to report on sports - he wants to have an effect on them. By appealing to that kind of ego, Newton probably turned him into a fan. Further coverage will be interesting to see.
