Far as I know the majority of the F15 fleet is going to need serious refits just to stay airworthy for the next 20 years, since we didn’t buy enough F35’s to retire them, may as well throw on some upgrades while they’re all torn down to the airframe anyway. It’s going to be expensive either way.
