I have to say, it feels like livestrong.com is taking over the web. They come up high in many of my search results.

I think the Kardashian example proves RuPaul's point, not yours.

OK, this is my favorite comment of the night.

Great idea! I feel like there's got to be a feminist artist/quilter who can make a statement with all of those t-shirts people don't want anymore.

Absolutely. I'm hoping this downward slide continues until they get their shit together. I never donated because I hate the marketing/pinkwashing, but was able to have a good conversation with my Mom, a breast cancer survivor and SGK contributor, about where else she can send her money. Hoping their "apolitical"

I don't want to promote some people, but to those who keep posting to say that it is the SGK Foundation's "right" to give their money to whoever they want, some things to consider:

News is out that they have now changed the "rule" and restoring the grant to Planned Parenthood.

You do know that the SG Komen foundation will sue you for using "For the cure"?

So much for that "careful consideration" and "consultation"—which clearly didn't extend to the board.

"Planned Parenthood is always, and will always, be under investigation. It's a weapon the anti-choice use at all times."

I appreciate Andrea giving her hell on this, but I wish some journalist would actually investigate the claims Brinker/Komen is making. Is anyone else getting defunded? What are these metrics? If these metrics are an issue, why are they getting some grants and not others?

I'm very curious and very afraid to read the Consumerist comments about this woman. For a consumer website, there's a really high amount of consumer-bashing (as well as misogyny/misanthropy and fat-shaming).

He announced yesterday that he's getting a secret service detail already— glitterbombs beware!

Well, in my neck of the woods "come correct" means to either show respect or to do something the right way the first time, i.e. "Next, time you'd better come correct or don't bother to show up." So, I assumed it was referring to Romney's ongoing gaffes (i.e. "not worried about rich, not worried about very poor").

Now that Newt has a plan to colonize the Moon, we're going to have to look farther afield. And I'm still carrying a grudge about Pluto.

I can't speak for others, but I didn't assume they were cutting off funding to all women's care. I am assuming that they lack the backbone to stick up for a long time health partner that is known for giving quality care to the poor.

I agree. Now maybe people will pay more attention to the critiques that have been out there for a while.

Some woman called into the New York NPR station with that bullshit. There's a conspiracy keeping women from knowing that their slutty, abortion having ways is going to give them breast cancer.
