Exactly. I really like Butler and he is one of the toughest players this franchise has ever had, but he’s a star you add, not one you build around. GarPax are not good GMs, but there is a reason why more teams weren’t beating down the door when the Bulls made it clear he was available.

I can’t believe what a minority view this is. Where do people think the Bulls would have gone by keeping Butler, and eventually paying him a quarter of a billion dollars?
