They published it, but they have a very close relationship with Cavia during development. SQEX Los Angeles came up with the idea for Father Nier and basically told Cavia to put it in. Cavia actively protested. That decision saved the entire game. I'm sure they had other input as well.

Totally agree with every word.

@Cobaltios & @everyone: Thanks guys, I didn't know if this would be received positively or not. It was a bit long, so I'm glad some people liked it.

Fantastic post, I totally agree.

Nice interview, and I can totally sympathize with his concerns.

I love mine so far, but I'm anxious for more games. It's probably the only system I've ever owned where the actual system itself is impressive, not even just the software. It's just a gorgeous system, made well and really solid design. If this thing gets software support, it's the best portable system ever made

May matter on the next game they put out if he wasn't satisfied. That's kind of the whole reason they're releasing it for free in the first place.

Don't run with scissors.

That basically sums up Bioware, post-Mass Effect 1.

No I agree, SC2 is still the best. SC5 is the 2nd best though, and has the best online I've seen.

MMOs can really backfire on you, big time. The bubble on that genre seems to be bursting a bit. Everyone was rushing into it, thinking they would have a game with income like World of Warcraft (or even Final Fantasy XI), and lots of them didn't.

That would be neat. Notice that with spinoff sequels like Tales of Xillia 2, no one cares. What is it in reality? Tales of XII-2. Same goes for Black Ops 2, Modern Warfare 2, Assassin's Creed Revelations (AC II-3) and on. People just pick on SQEX for no reason. I actually like their numbering system.

Yeah, I agree. 4 Heroes of Light is exactly what everyone complaining was asking for. I don't know how well it sold, but it probably could have sold better.

Nice track. Definitely gets overlooked way too much.

Now playing

I beat Gravity Rush yesterday, and it's just awesome. There was a moment during the final battle where I was just rushing through the air, trying to get somewhere as fast as I could with that fantastic music playing in the background that it hit me that this is one of the best pure superhero experiences I've played.

I think it comes with an AC adapter and a 4 GB SD card in NA, for $200.

I made due with the single stick and hitting R to center on DS and PSP for years. I was really forgiving about it, and loved both systems. I played countless games like that and loved them.

Now add another 3 inches since it'll have to have the circle pad pro XL.

Soul Calibur V is fantastic, and has the best online modes of any fighting game ever made. Throw in the Tales of creator on top, and Sakurai overseeing it. Talk about a dream team.
