Yeah, definitely based on skill. I'm a Long sword user, so I was always chasing tail, which made my fights a little longer. Now I'm 150+ hours in, rocking some G Rank Azure Rathalos armor. :)

4-7 quests in an hour? Yeah, gathering quests in low rank maybe. Typical quests in high rank took me between 20-30 minutes each.

To be honest, I went through the same thing, and buying a Circle Pad Pro really helped. Its made way more ergonomic than the 3DS itself. Worth it for that alone, though the second stick on certain games, like monster Hunter, is definitely an improvement.

The halo series, as good as it is, is truly the ONLY franchise that keeps me coming back for more on the Xbox. I had a 360 since 2006, and after I got my PS3 in 2008 for the objectively best game of this generation (MGS4) I barely used the Xbox, only for Halo. Why could connectivity between the 3DS and WiiU be an issue? Monster hunter 3 ultimate did it amazingly. I'm sure it can be done.
