Claiming Unchart 1-3 is "objectively shit" is like claming Halo 3, Reach, and 4 are "objectively shit." Both are highly acclaimed series, both with incredibly high metascores, and both sold incredibly well. The fact you are using the word "objectively" seems to imply you have no actual concept of what "objective"

The MS defense force is missing the MOST IMPORTANT point. The reason for this policy is to force media-ONLY users to pony up for Live when they otherwise wouldn't. This specific paywall policy has NOTHING to do with the gaming components. It was created to specifically force media-ONLY users into purchasing Live.

The claim: used games are intrinsically bad for the industry. Thus, at any point in time in gaming's history, if there were used games, they were bad for the industry. It is the moral, financial, though not legal equivalent of theft.

Talk about an article that needs a tl:dr

I actually find these images more grotesque than sexual, and it reminded me of the animation in Aeon Flux. The men and women may be sexualized, but I find it to be more of an abstract art than a form of titillation.

So what are your first choices for CPU and graphics card then, if not what's in this box?

Yes, you make a 2-sentence caveat in what is an otherwise full-length editorial predicting a doomsday scenario for TV as we know it, possibly with the decade. You certainly covered your back with this article!

Wonderful read.

I agree completely. The few brief rifts that showed different time periods like the 80s or Paris were truly interesting. I was hoping there would be some exploration of that aspect of her power, going into distant futures or pasts or at least something grander than friggin medical kits or gun turrets. Instead the

While I originally wanted to disagree, I now see the point you're making. I agree that writing should take precedence over graphics since it is foundational to what the voice actor/mocap actor/whatever needs to do in Killzone or Heavy Rain. If all the characters in Killzone and Gears are dudebros, who gives a shit?

Looks fantastic... reminds me of Shutter Island. Games should be able to take great advantage of hallucinations and mental breakdowns.

And lets also add Yoshida to the list of sony bigwigs that are saying used games are not blocked on ps4. And that patent was for other things apparently. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-02-21-sony-tells-eurogamer-playstation-4-will-not-block-used-games

1. Sony's patent is a patent. 99% of patents do nothing except collect dust. Rumors say used games on PS4 are 50/50. Sony's Jack Tretton (you know who he is, right?) said he is totally opposed to blocking used games. GameStop thinks it has reassurances that Sony is pro-used games. MS has no such rumors and no

Gamestop's statement itself implied Sony has no qualms with used games: “Sony has said publicly that they don’t intend to block used games on its next console. Microsoft has refused to or has not commented on the rumours.”

The title to this article seems a bit misleading since the game isn't even coming out this year....

Along with the rumors of an always-on Kinect, required online connection, and no used games (none of which are currently rumored for Sony) you seem to be ignoring a large part of the debate over which system will succeed, especially in terms of it being a gaming machine rather than a media hub. And there's no way

It's amazing how hostile commentators are to such an obviously true basic premise. Videogames have never given me the same emotional response or connection as compared to other media like books or movies. Every game boils down into "fun" or "not fun" when it could be reaching much greater emotional potentials. What
